Run by Andrew Venables, who has over 30 years of experience in firearms training and in providing safe shooting training solutions, WMS trains clients using steel reactive targets on our extensive shooting areas in mid Wales.

WALES TO REMAIN IN LOCKDOWN UNTIL JANUARY 29TH

UPDATE: JANUARY 11TH 2020

Wales remains in Alert Level 4 lockdown until January 29th, at the earliest

Following a review on Friday January 8th 2020 Welsh Government has extended the nationwide lockdown in Wales for another three weeks at least.

While WMS remains open we are not permitted to provide any recreational training or experience days until lockdown is lifted. As before, we are permitted to provide necessary professional training to clients for work purposes during lockdown. The Welsh Government will review the situation in three weeks time.

A New Year and Reasons to be Positive…

JANUARY 2021

Hello from Wales and WMS Firearms Training. The Christmas festivities are over and rumours of a much improved 2021 may have been exaggerated in the short term. But better times will follow. Currently the message from Westminster and the devolved administrations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland is that recreational shooting and training are currently on hold while lockdowns are in place. However, professional shooting training for work purposes; research and testing; journalism; pest control and deer management are allowed to continue, so WMS will be focusing on those areas over the next few weeks.

WMS is regularly asked to donate days for charity auctions run by shooting and countryside organisations as well as other groups, something we are very happy to do when we can. Over the past years we’ve donated days to the British Association for Shooting and Conservation, the British Deer Society, Sporting Rifle’s Save the Rhino auction, the Prince’s Trust, and more.
