NEW EXTRA LONG RANGE DATE: THURSDAY JULY 2ND 2026
Fancy stretching your kit and skills out to 1,500m? Then this ELR Day hosted by Andrew Venables at our facilities in Mid Wales may be for you.
The day is for rifles with sufficient BC, energy and available elevation to dial out to 1,500m. This is generally 18-25 MILS or 60-75 MOA up from zero. Suitable calibres are 6.5, 7mm and .300 Magnum class including .338LM and similar calibres. 6.5 Creedmoor can make it in easy conditions but .308 will be out of the running at this distance. Shooting will focus on a 100m zero session, checking everything is tight and sorted, before moving out to 500m, 1,000m and 1,500m. There is clean signature for impacts around all the targets making this a practical, rewarding and achievable day. The shooting, spotting and instruction on this day takes place within 500m of our Hesketh Hut Range HQ and the zero targets, with 4x4s able to reach the longer-range firing points.
