You settle your cheek onto the rifle stock, look through the high-powered telescopic sight at the steel target 850m away. Check the wind, squeeze the trigger… boom! The bullet takes one second to find its target. Three seconds later you hear a resounding clang. Congratulations! You made the shot.
Aimed at those who have never shot rifles before or have done so only a few times our renowned Sniper Experience Day provides a safe, enjoyable and challenging introduction to the art of rifle shooting.
Structure of the day
- .22 rimfire rifle (small calibre) shooting using bolt-action and semi-automatic .22 rifles out to 100m to build shooting skills, shooting positions and trigger control
- Standing shooting at 100m with our Section 1 AK-47 Kalashnikov, one of the world’s most iconic assault rifles
- Hostage scenario using a bolt-action large calibre.308WM rifles at 300m
- 850m long-range shooting with a Steel Core Cyclone military sniper rifle
The WMS Sniper Experience Day focuses on teaching the key elements of rifle shooting including rifle handling, trigger control, target acquisition, making adjustments for wind and topography and the crucial art of spotting the fall of shot using our premium brand optics.
As your skills increase you so will your confidence enabling you to make consistent, accurate shots. You will test your rapid reactions during our hostage scenario and enjoy the chance to shoot one of the world’s most iconic assault riles, the AK-47 Kalashnikov (Section 1).
In order to give you the highest level of instruction and maximum amount of shooting we limit our Sniper Experience Days to four participants with one instructor, or 6-8 participants with two instructors. This means that you spend most of your day shooting, spotting and learning rather than waiting for your turn.
Our Sniper Experience Days run throughout the year on pre-set weekday and weekend dates. For groups of four or more we can set dates of your choice.
